Fabien Yves Marcque is a French designer and jeweler based in the UK. Born and raised in Soissons, in the Hauts-de-France region, he developed an early interest in objects, space, and how we interact with them. He studied Furniture Design and Interior Architecture at ESAD (École Supérieure d’Art et de Design) in Reims, graduating in 2005.
Fabien began his career in Paris, working with various design studios and agencies, and eventually freelancing for a diverse range of clients. In 2011, he moved to London to continue his path in interior architecture, focusing on boutique and retail design for fashion and luxury brands. London, with its rich mix of cultures, world-class museums, and vibrant creative energy, played an important role in shaping his design perspective—broadening his influences and deepening his appreciation for craft and storytelling.
In 2017, Fabien relocated to Brazil. Immersing himself in a new environment brought fresh inspiration and space to explore furniture design on his own terms. When he returned to the UK in 2022, he made a clear decision to step away from commercial architecture and pursue something more personal.
This is where jewelry came in—not just as a new discipline, but as a way to create lasting, meaningful connections. With a desire to make work that resonates emotionally with the people who wear it, Fabien began training in jewelry-making, largely teaching himself while also attending workshops at various London schools.
In a world increasingly driven by automation and artificial intelligence, Fabien values the human touch more than ever. Working with his hands allows him to create pieces that carry intention, imperfection, and soul—things that machines cannot replicate. Each design is both an object and a gesture—considered, crafted, and made to last.
Fabien continues to develop his own voice as a jeweler, drawing from his background in design while exploring new forms of expression through metal, stone, and story.
